GMT site goes live with new CMS
GMT Communications Partners is a leading private equity firm focusing on investments in the European Communications Industry. The GMT team is Europe’s longest-established private equity firm specialising in the Communications arena.
GMT’s business changes significantly over time as new deals are put together and established investments are sold. Publicising new deals requires their News pages to be updated on a regular basis. Other parts of their web site also needed updating regularly and these business needs prompted GMT to investigate acquiring a content management system. However GMT found that “off the shelf” systems did not allow them to maintain their professional and high quality image.
Content Management Interface Parabola started working with GMT in 2002, developing their web site and creating the interactive web page illustrating and detailing the deals they had undertaken across Europe. We were pleased that GMT’s experience of working with us meant they felt confident to ask us to work for them to create a bespoke system.
The software was written using .NET and is web based so it can be accessed from anywhere. The system was designed to be easy to use and in fact the users of the system have required no training at all.
The GMT web site can now reflect new deals as soon as they have been put through – coinciding with announcements to the financial media. In addition simple changes in the business like new personnel and contacts can be reflected on the website immediately.
As the software is bespoke GMT have no on-going licensing fees. In addition the software has been designed to easily adapt to any development of the web site which may be required in the future.
