Marking Records will ensure the quality and consistency of student reports
Student Report writing at Esher College has never been easier since the latest release of Marking Records. Staff can now write reports which are of a consistently high standard because of the built in quality control and validation checks in Marking Records.
The latest release has seen the introduction of student profiling tools. These tools are designed to help teachers write the end of year reports and UCAS references. This is achieved by ensuring all the key student information is to hand when the reports are being written. These include:
- Student Details – includes student details, photo of student and Attendance details
- Subject Skills - Set a level of achievement against each skill
- Personal Qualities - Select a level of achievement against the list personal qualities
- Profile Statement - Write summary text which is error free and appropriate because of the built in spelling and grammar checking
- Opening Sentences and adjectives/adverbs - These can be dragged into the profile statement text
- Action Plan - Set new actions for the student to achieve during the summer.
On submitting the report there are validation checks to ensure the quality and integrity of the report.
David Lloyd ICT Development Director, Esher College confirmed the success of the new tools for teachers at the college when he commented: “The system is very intuitive and the built in proofing and checking has improved the quality and consistency of our student reports and profiles”.
