Marking Records enables staff to
- manage student assignments
- return marks, grades and feedback
- monitor student progress and delivery of assignments
- undertake periodic student self assessment and review incorporating the student's
input
- produce high quality, consistent student reports
A web interface allows students to access and contribute to their data via the school
or college intranet. Students can take an active part in their self assessment by
responding to questions, entering their own targets and monitoring their own progress
towards these targets.
Marking Records is a flexible mark book, progress recording and ILP application.
It enables teachers to manage assignments for their classes and enter marks as well
as comments and feedback. Marking Records provides a facility to undertake periodic
student self assessment and review which incorporates students' answers to
questions input by teachers and students' own targets.
By integrating with the College MIS system all student information is kept up to
date and there is no need to re-enter any data.
Marks and feedback can be automatically published on a School or College SharePoint intranet for the students to view.
Marks and student reports can be viewed by the student's Tutors and Department
Heads and gives all teaching staff access to a full picture of an individual student's
performance as the year progresses.
Self assessment questions are output to students and their responses are displayed
in Marking Records for the teacher to view. Targets are also managed in Marking
Records providing the teacher with an up to date picture of how each student feels
they are progressing.
There is a flexible ILP process to encourage student self assessment and facilitate
a scheduled progression which involves teachers/tutors but drives and encourages
students.
